Today was my first day contributing to some aspect of the creation of my product, ultimately a scroll. The teacher presented many different styles of writing (seen in research in Criterion A), but he explained that many start with regular script because it was closest to modern day hard tool writing. If one was to go back into prior styles, it would be necessary to analyse parts and the formation of characters. My initial thought was that I would do my product there and get feedback but that may not be ideal now as I would very likely like to try writing on my own my product. And experience what a well practiced calligrapher would be doing without guidance.
